[P1]
A suspicious matter report (SMR) must be submitted to the relevant financial intelligence authority when there are reasonable grounds to suspect a matter may relate to money laundering, terrorism financing or other reportable conduct. Staff must escalate concerns promptly to the financial crime team. The organisation must retain relevant records in accordance with its record-retention policy.
